• Whole fresh mackerel
  • radishes, Daikon

  • ml Soy sauce
  • tbsp fish sauce
  • ml water
  • Clove of garlic, minced (tbsp)
  • tbsp chili flakes
  • tbsp Red wine or white wine
  • tbsp Corn syrup

Braised mackerel with radish

Step 1
Cut off the fins and heads of the fish. Then cut across into 5cm pieces

Step 2
Peel the Daikon radish, and cut into pieces 2 cm thick, 5 cm wide pieces

Step 3
In a pan, add the radish and sauce. Boil about 10 minutes until the radish becomes soft. Slice the onion and peppers into 1cm thickness.

Step 4
Add the fish and boil for 4-5 minutes, and carefully flip them over.
Add sliced onion and chili peppers and boil continue for 5 minutes.

Step 5
Serve with a bowl of cooked rice.
